The Pink Cake Shop is based in West Wickham, Kent and sells a wide selection of delicious, bespoke cakes, at very competitive prices. I create original cakes for all occasions, celebrations or milestones including:

Cake designs range from something as simple as a numerical birthday or anniversary cake, through to intricate, bespoke designs for special occasions. Every cake is unique and original and I take time to discuss the occasion, your theme and creative ideas. I offer advice and make suggestions, based on your individual requirements. This ensures the cake is created specifically for you, rather than choosing a generic one from a design in a book.
I always stock a selection of popular cupcakes and bake a ‘cake of the day’. All these are sold as boxed, which avoids any potential transportation problems. I make sponges, chocolate cake, gateaux and both iced and un-iced celebration cakes. My cakes can be iced with fondant icing, which is typically made from sugar, gelatin and glycerin, forming a malleable, soft dough, which can either be rolled to cover a cake, or moulded into flowers and figures. Royal icing, which consists of sugar and egg whites, has come back into fashion and my experience and knowledge enables me to use this in a traditional or contemporary style on cakes. I was fortunate enough to learn all my cake baking skills from my Mum, who made cakes for a living and had a natural talent and enthusiasm for the craft. From the time she gave me fondant and an icing tube, it became a shared passion and my childhood was spent around the kitchen table with mixing bowls, spoons and scales and the evocative aroma of cakes baking in the oven. Much like world famous chefs, she passed on her recipes and secrets to the next generation, teaching me the principles of traditional cake baking and decoration. I loved the whole process of cake baking, creating original designs and tasty cakes and having 30 years’ experience has given me the skill and knowledge to create cakes based on traditional methods, with a contemporary twist.
I combined my love of baking, with a passion for design to make cakes for friends and family for special events in their lives. I passionately believe that creatively designed cakes, made from the finest ingredients should be readily available at a fair and reasonable price and such has been the demand and popularity of my cakes, it inspired me to open The Pink Cake Shop. Mary Berry has made home baking extremely popular and I stock a wide range of cake decorating supplies for all enthusiastic bakers of cakes.
